Torchy’s Tacos opens 4th Valley location Wednesday at SanTan Village

🌮 Texas-based Torchy’s Tacos, which made its Arizona debut in Phoenix last June, opens its fourth Valley location Wednesday near the northwest corner of Williams Field and Santan Village Parkway in Gilbert.

The history: Torchy’s began as an Austin, Texas, food trailer in 2006. It now has more than 100 locations in 14 states.

The location: Between Flower Child and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant at SanTan Village shopping center.

Menu highlights: 14 creative specialty tacos and nine types of margaritas. The signature menu item is the chile con queso packed with green chiles and topped with guacamole.

Did you know: The first 100 guests in line at 10 a.m. Wednesday will get free green chile queso for a year.

Hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
