Claypot Kitchen moves into ex-Nan Zhou Hand Drawn Noodle House in Mesa

Claypot Kitchen, a Hong Kong-style cafe, has opened next to H Mart (and across the street from Mekong Plaza) on the southeast corner of Dobson and First Avenue in west Mesa.

The space: The 1,600-square-foot strip-mall space formerly was home to Nan Zhou Hand Drawn Noodle House, which closed at the end of April.

The food: Claypot rice, claypot congee, and other claypot dishes, plus soups, rice dishes, and noodle dishes. (Pictured: Black bean spare ribs claypot rice with added Chinese sausage.)

  • In a hurry? Be aware claypot dishes take 20 minutes to prepare.

The drinks: Soft drinks, hot tea, and a variety of cold teas.

Hours: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday-Sunday. Closed Thursday.
