Brooklyn V’s Pizza opens 5th East Valley location today in San Tan Valley

🍕🍝🍷 Brooklyn V’s Pizza, a locally owned group of New York-style pizzerias, opens its fifth East Valley location today on the southwest corner of Gantzel and Ocotillo in San Tan Valley.

The history: Chef-owner Vito LoPiccolo – who operated Italian restaurants in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island – opened the first Brooklyn V’s in Gilbert in 2013.

  • He added restaurants in Queen Creek in 2017, Chandler Crossroads in 2018, and south Chandler in 2021.

The food: Pizzas start at $16.75 for 14-inch and $19 for 18-inch. The signature specialty pies are the Margherita and the V’s Three Meat with sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs.

  • There are nine strombolis, six oven-baked sandwiches, 18 pasta dishes, and eight dinner entrees.

The drinks: Fountain drinks, beer, and wine.

Did you know: In February, ‘‘One Bite Pizza Reviews,’’ the popular YouTube show hosted by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, gave Brooklyn V’s a rating of 7.4, a 10th of a point more than famed Pizzeria Bianco.

The hours: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p. m. Sunday.
