🍹 Bar Cena, a new cocktail and dining lounge, will replace the Vanilla Gorilla Tap Room & Bottle Shop next to Hush Public House near the northwest corner of Scottsdale and Thunderbird in north Scottsdale.
The history: Chef Dom Ruggiero, owner of Hush and Vanilla Gorilla (as well as recently opened Fire at Will), closed the taproom June 30 to expand Hush, including the addition of the new lounge.
The new concept: Bar Cena will offer a chef-driven food menu of approximately 10 dishes that will rotate with the seasons.
- A beverage program of seven specialty cocktails will be created by consultants Libby Lingua and Mitch Lyons, who helped design the drinks for Hush and Fire at Will.
The name: “Cena” translates to “dinner” or “supper” in French, Spanish, and Italian, a nod to the influences
The timetable: Bar Cena is expected to open this fall.
