Samsara, a Persian retaurant that lay claims to being the first hookah lounge in downtown Phoenix, has opened on the northeast corner of Fourth Street and Garfield.
The space: Formerly the home of Bliss Rebar, which closed in May 2022 after 14 years in business.
The food: Lamb and chicken skewers, hummus with pita, and cucumber salad.
- There also are several American items, including wings. a chicken sandwich, and shrimp ceviche.
The drinks: Craft cocktails, margaritas, and mocktails.
The hours: 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Thursday, 6 p.m.-4 a.m. Friday-Saturday, 6 p.m.-2 a.m. Sunday.
