Tom’s BBQ closes Country Club location in Mesa after 33 years

🚫 Tom’s BBQ, a group of Chicago-style smokehouses in the East Valley, closed its original location Friday after 33 years on the northwest corner of Country Club and Southern in central Mesa.

In a social media video, owner Rick Pawlak pointed to the current economic climate and the industry’s ongoing labor shortage as reasons behind his decision.

Tom’s BBQ still has three locations – in south Tempe, south Chandler, and northeast Mesa – and a food truck.
