Elliott’s Steakhouse, a tribute to the late Elliott Hall, opens in Chandler

🥩🍸 Elliott’s Steakhouse, an elevated steak and seafood restaurant named in honor of late restaurateur Elliott Hall, officially opens to the public at 3 p.m. today in downtown Chandler.

The space: The 6,500-square-foot building at 81 W. Boston Street was built in 1912 as the town’s first brick grocery store and 20 years later became the Rowena Theatre. Most recently, it was home to Sasha’s Kitchen & Cocktails.

  • Besides restoration of the original brick walls, Elliott’s Steakhouse features a 47-foot bar and a 1,000-square-foot private dining area that can be reserved for special events.
  • “We have poured our heart and soul into creating a dining experience that embodies elegance, authenticity, and exceptional taste, and we cannot wait to share it with the community,” Jacobs says.

The food: The kitchen is co-led by chefs Nicks Gibbs of The Brickyard Downtown and Brent Tratten of The Hidden House. Highlights include a raw bar and dry-aged steaks from renowned purveyor Meats by Linz.

The drinks: The high-end cocktail menu – created by Michael Regan, an award-winning mixologist and director of operations, and beverage director Michael Testa – pays tribute to the history of the building.

  • “We wanted our creativity to carry over to the cocktails for which we have become known at The Brickyard and Hidden House,” Regan says.
  • In addition to spirits, the beverage lineup features 130 wines from around the globe.

Info: Doors open at 3 p.m. daily. Dress code requires a minimum of business casual attire. (No hats, shorts, or sandals allowed.)
