🌭🥤 Portillo’s, the Chicago-based fast-casual chain, has soft-opened its sixth Valley location near the southwest corner of Ellsworth and Queen Creek in Queen Creek.
The space: Designed with a ‘‘Southwest garage’’ theme, the 7,800-square-foot restaurant has seating for 180 inside as well as a patio with room for another 50.
The food: Portillo’s is best-known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, Italian sausages, and chocolate cake.
The drinks: Shakes, malts, and sodas.
The hours: 10:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
Grand opening: An official ribbon-cutting is scheduled for next Tuesday, Aug. 29.
