⚾️🍺 Philly’s Sports Grill, a longtime East Valley sports bar, has opened its fifth location on the southeast corner of McClintock and Baseline in south Tempe.
The space: It takes over the strip-mall space that previously was home to 5 Star Dive Bar & Grill (which had the same owners as Philly’s) since 2019. Other occupants in the past decade include The Bench, Scully’s, and Lucky Break.
The food: The namesake 8-inch Philly cheesesteaks come in seven varieties ($13.49-$14.79), including the Traditional (with American white cheese) and the Original (with diced onions and Cheese Whiz).
- The large menu also offers burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and dinner entrees.
The drinks: A full bar, including xx beers on tap.
The hours: 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Friday, noon-10 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
