🧁 Myesha Harris, a civil engineer who began selling red velvet cakes and cupcakes on the side about 12 years ago, has opened her first bricks-and-mortar space, Red Velvet Bakery, on Central, about a half-mile north of Baseline, in south Phoenix.
The space: Formerly home to an insurance agency, the renovated space has a commercial kitchen, a service counter, and a seating area for customers to enjoy coffee and desserts.
The menu: Other cake flavors now include cotton candy, chocolate peanut butter, apple crumble, and Everything but the Kitchen Sink. In addition, the bakery sells cake jars, cookies, and milkshakes.
The hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (or when desserts run out) daily.
