Are you a whiskey aficionado with $30,000 burning a hole in your pocket? Some of the rarest whiskeys in the world will be auctioned – in-person and online – Tuesday at the annual Art of Bourbon in Louisville, Ky.
The 35 lots include several so-called ‘‘unicorn’’ bottles, including:
- 🥃 Pappy 23 Year Old: A 1998 green-tinted bottle from the first batch of Pappy 23 Year Old produced under Julian Van Winkle. Estimate: $30,000.
- 🥃 George T. Stagg: A 16-year-old expression, distilled prior to 1917 and bottled during Prohibition in 1928, at the George T. Stagg Distillery. It has a patent-proof Four Roses box. Estimate: $20,000-$30,000.
- 🥃 A.H. Hirsch: A 20-year-old bourbon distilled in 1974 and produced at the old Michter’s Distillery. Estimate: $20,000.
