Matty G’s Steakburgers & Lobsta’ Rolls closes in downtown Chandler

🍔🍺 Matty G’s Steakburgers & Lobsta’ Rolls has closed its year-old location in downtown Chandler.

It had opened on Sept. 29, 2022, in the building formerly home to sports bar The Local Chandler on the southwest corner of Wall and Chicago.

It’s the neighborhood bar and grill concept’s third closure this year. A north Scottsdale location closed in April and an uptown Phoenix one folded in May.

‘‘We sold the (Chandler) location as my health continues to be an issue,’’ owner Matt Gorman says.

Matty’s still has four Valley locations – three in Mesa and another in Gilbert – as well as one in Flagstaff.

‘‘I expect those stores to continue with the management staff we have in place,’’ Gorman says.
