Four Peaks Oktoberfest celebrates 50th year this weekend in Tempe

🍺🌭🎸 The Four Peaks Oktoberfest – a three-day festival of food and drink, live music, games, carnival rides, dancing, and more – celebrates its 50th anniversary this weekend at Tempe Town Lake.

New this year: The return of the local celebrity brat-eating contest, yoga in the park, additional categories in the weiner dog races (including Senior Saunter and Puppy Palooza), and new food vendors.

Today’s highlights

  • Free one-liter replica stein for the first 500 paid admissions through the gate;
  • Keg tapping and opening ceremony;
  • Happy hour from 5-7 p.m. with $1 off select alcohol;
  • Music from Hollywood Gods N’ Monsters, Instant Classics, and Black Bottom Lighters.

Saturday highlights

  • Free gift for the first 500 paid admissions through the gate;
  • Frank Kush Foundation 30th Runnin’ for the Brats;
  • Yoga in the park with Southwest Institute of Healing Arts & Spirit of Yoga;
  • Weiner dog races;
  • Celebrity brat-eating contest;
  • Amateur stein-holding competition;
  • Music from Miles Nielsen & Rusted Hearts, Superhero, and 2 Tone Lizard Kings.

Sunday highlights

  • WOW-mosa brunch;
  • Championship weiner dog race;
  • Cardinals football watch party;
  • Amateur stein-holding competition;
  • Reverse happy hour from 5 p.m.-close with $1 off draft beers (while supplies last);
  • Music from Southern Ways and Rock Lobster.

General admission is $20 Friday and Saturday. Admission is free on Sunday, and attendees 20 and younger are free all weekend.
