Big Nate’s Family BBQ launches 2nd location in east Mesa

🔥 Big Nate’s Family BBQ, a 3-year-old family-run smokehouse in northeast Mesa, has opened a second location on the northwest corner of Main and Power in east Mesa.

Eric Solheim, brother-in-law Ray Dandridge, and their wives started the business as a food truck before opening their first restaurant near the southwest corner of McKellips and Higley.

Their smoked meats include brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, beef ribs (Fridays and Saturdays only), turkey, chicken, and jalapeño cheddar beef sausage.

There’s even smoked pecan pie for dessert.

Not sure what to order? ‘‘The Trinity’’ (pictured) – brisket, pulled pork, and chicken with two sides – is a good place to start.
