🍔🍺🎸 Off 87 has soft-opened in the former Ginger Monkey building on the southwest corner of Arizona Avenue (aka Arizona State Route 87) and Ocotillo Road in south Chandler.
It’s the latest venture from former Arizona Diamondbacks pitching coach Mike Butcher (pictured) and his wife, Tami. The couple also own the Pizza Butcher food truck.
The menu features elevated pub grub. For example, an appetizer of Brussels sprouts is flash-fried with pork belly, sprinkled with cotija cheese and cranberries, and served with a house dipping sauce.
The Butchers are planning a wide variety of entertainment, including bands, DJs, karaoke, and dueling pianos.
Ginger Monkey was featured in a 2020 episode of the Food Network’s ‘‘Restaurant: Impossible,’’ which gave the 6,600-square-foot space a $10,000 makeover.
