🌮 Taco Chelo, a 5-year-old taqueria on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix, is opening a second location on the northeast corner of College Avenue and Sixth Street in Tempe.
The concept was created Valley restaurateur Aaron Chamberlain, chef Suny Santana, and artist Gennaro Garcia.
Chamberlain and his brother, David, launched Tempe’s well-regarded Ghost Ranch and now-closed Tempe Public Market Cafe.
Taco Chelo focuses on nine kinds of tacos ranging from $3.75 to $4.50 each. It also serves beer, margaritas, and cocktails.
The Tempe location is expected to open in December.
