🍺🍕 Phantom Fox Beer Co., a new brewery and restaurant, has opened in the former Desert Eagle Brewing space near the northeast corner of Main and Robson in downtown Mesa.
It’s the second downtown venture for owners Trent Smith and Eric Cady, who launched the nearby Chupacabra Taproom in 2019.
The pair have partnered with Dan Medlen, owner of the Goat and Ram mobile pizza kitchen, for the brewery’s in-house restaurant.
Phantom Fox, which originally was to be called Urban Legend Beer Co., already has a variety of scary-sounding ales on tap, including Snare Trap (West Coast IPA), Shapeshifter (hazy IPA), Ghost Fox (red IPA), and Walking Shadows (ESB).
The historic brick building has been renovated since Desert Eagle closed on July 30, 2022, including the addition of a new brewing system.
