🌮 Barrio Queen, an elevated Mexican restaurant founded in Old Town Scottsdale in 2011, has opened its eighth Valley location at the Village at Prasada on the southeast corner of the Loop 303 and Waddell in Surprise.
The concept was created by Barrio Cafe chef Silvana Salcido Esparza, who hasn’t been associated with it since a falling out with partners Steve Rosenfield and Linda Nash in 2014.
Barrio Queen was sold to Minnesota-based BBQ Holdings (Famous Dave’s, Village Inn, Sauce, etc.) in 2022.
