🌮 Several months ago, I broke the news that Bacanora chef and co-owner Rene Andrade was quietly planning a new taco shop called Huarachis in downtown Phoenix.
That restaurant just opened in the former Rodiberto’s Mexican Food space on the southwest corner of Central and Roosevelt on Roosevelt Row.
Bacanora, of course, was one of five finalists for Best New Restaurant in the U.S. at the 2022 James Beard Awards, and Andrade was a semifinalist for Best Chef Southwest at this year’s awards.
Huarachis is open 5-10 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and 5-midnight Friday-Saturday.
