La Sen Vietnamese Cuisine opens today in the former modern American gastropub Double Dutch Kitchen & Cocktails space on the northeast corner of Dobson and Germann in south Chandler.
The building’s original occupant was Thai restaurant Chao from 2013-14, followed by Mediterranean restaurant The Ivy from 2015-20 and Double Dutch from 2021-23.
The menu
There are a whopping 23 varieties of pho, plus seven spicy noodle soups and nine vermicelli soups.
The extensive menu also offers banh mi (sandwiches), steamed and fried rice dishes, stir fry dishes, curries, and hot pots.
House specialties include lamb chops (sưon cuu nuong), shaking beef stirfry (bo chao), and stuffed calamari (muc nhoi thit).
