Yumbar opens at new complex The Royale in Phoenix’s Melrose District

🦩 Yumbar, a casual restaurant and bar from the former owner of Fez, has opened at The Royale on the southeast corner of Seventh and Glenrosa avenues in Phoenix’s Melrose District.

What’s The Royale?

The new community-centric complex, which houses eight local, independent businesses, is the brainchild of Mark Howard, former owner of Fez and Bliss Rebar, and Rocco Menaguale, an architect, interior designer, and artist.

Other food and drink businesses at The Royale include Window Coffee Bar and soon-to-open Lix Uptown Ice Cream.

Yumbar’s menu

The food menu features appetizers, salads, burgers, pressed sandwiches, and bowls. Highlights include a crispy fried chicken salad ($15) and a Tex-Mex wheat berry and chicken bowl ($17).

The full bar offers eight specialty cocktails, sparkling wines, and beers (four macros on tap and a few craft beers in bottles).
