🍜 Izakaya Ramen, chef Jared Lupin’s latest venture dedicated to the Japanese noodle dish, has opened on the southeast corner of Thunderbird and Seventh Street in north Phoenix’s Moon Valley neighborhood.
What’s on the menu?
Five ramen bowls: Shin Ramyun (spicy soyu), Goma (ashishoyu and garlic miso), Chicken Crack Korn (paitan), Tan-Tan-Men My Man (tantanmen), and Vegan Noodle Soup (vegan shio).
Also: edamame, gyoza, and steamed bao buns (choice of pork belly, fried chicken, miso roasted pork, fried seasonal mushroom, or seared Spam).
Beverages: Canned beers, sake, and red wine.

Lupin (pictured) formerly owned Umami Ramen in Tempe. His resume includes stints as executive chef at Republic Ramen in Tempe and Dori Hand Roll Bar & Ramen in Phoenix, as well as ramen chef at Hot Noodles Cold Sake in Scottsdale.
