Beginner’s Luck opens for breakfast & lunch in Old Town Scottsdale

🥗 Beginner’s Luck, a laid-back comfort food restaurant from chef Bernie Kantak and Andrew Fritz (the guys behind Citizen Public House and The Gladly), has opened near the northwest corner of Main and Brown in Old Town Scottsdale.

Menu highlights

Lucky 7 Cereal Bowl: Chia pudding, blue corn grits, raspberries, blueberries, coconut-pecan granola, corn flower, and blue agave syrup.

Gypsy Toast: French toast-style challah, five-spice, coconut-pecan streusel, salted butterscotch syrup, and stiffened cream.

12 Hour Niman Ranch Pork Sandwich: Super slow-roasted pork, chicharron, chermoula, pickled onion, housemade mayonnaise, and ciabatta.

The Original Chopped Salad: Smoked salmon, couscous, arugula, pepitas, asiago cheese, currants, dried sweet corn, tomatoes, and buttermilk dressing.

Fresh Baked Kolaches: Savory and sweet varieties.

Chai-rish Iced Coffee: Coffee, chai, simple syrup, whiskey, and fresh whipped cream on the rocks.

The space

Formerly home to Piccolo Virtù, which closed in December.
