Philadelphia Sandwich Company takes complaint to social media

Philadelphia Sandwich Company, which was locked out of its subleased location in Gilbert last fall, has taken its case to social media.

What happened?

In an Instagram post, PSC says it was subleasing the kitchen at Flying Basset Brewing near the northeast corner of Cooper and Ray in Gilbert when the brewery unexpectedly announced it would close Sept. 30.

The sandwich shop claims it was locked out of the building by Flying Basset’s owners. When PSC’s owner managed to enter, he was arrested for burglary.

Shortly thereafter, the building was leased to The Perch Brewing, which also bought Flying Basset’s equipment.

Where things stand

PSC claims Flying Basset and The Perch are in possession of $100,000 of PSC’s kitchen equipment.
