Nando’s Mexican Cafe, a sit-down restaurant with four East Valley locations, has opened its fifth in the Fry’s Marketplace shopping center on the northeast corner of John Wayne Parkway and Edison Road in Maricopa.

What’s on the menu?
Tacos, burros, enchiladas, tamales, tostadas, chimichangas, fajitas (pictured), and more. Lunch specials are $11.50-$14.50, taco platters are $12.50, and combo meals are $15.50-$18.50.
House specialities include the Pollo Rico (a crisp chicken burro topped with jalapeno cream cheese, $16.50), Alfredo’s Green Chile Pork ($15.50), and El Jefe Chimichanga ($18.50).
The chain
Nando’s was founded in Gilbert in 2003 by Fernando “Nando” Rios and Tim Shaughnessy. (A third partner, Sean Whalen, joined in 2009.) Other locations are in Mesa, Chandler, and Queen Creek.
