🌮 Acclaimed taqueria Tacos Chiwas is closing its 5-year-old Chandler location today, owners Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin announced on social media.
The couple decided not to renew their lease near the northwest corner of Alma School and Warner and instead will look for a larger location that may or may not be in Chandler.
‘‘We need a bigger location (where) we can have customer restrooms and add a bar as well,’’ the post explained.
Tacos Chiwas also has locations in Phoenix and downtown Mesa.
In addition, Hernandez and Holguin own Cocina Chiwas and Aruma in Tempe, and are partners in Santo and Pecado in Arcadia, Bacanora in downtown Phoenix, and Espiritu in downtown Mesa.
