Uchi in Scottsdale launches dinner series with Valley chefs

👨‍🍳👨‍🍳 Recently opened Uchi in Old Town Scottsdale is collaborating with several well-known Valley chefs on a summer dinner series.

The series kicks off July 16 when Uchi chef de cuisine Blake Luecke welcomes The Mission chef Matt Carter for a ‘‘Latin American x Japanese’’ omakase dinner celebrating ingredients from the Sonoran Desert.

Menu highlights will include scallop crudo (corn leche de tigre, grilled corn relish, candied jalapeño), wagyu striploin (fig miso mole, grilled figs, tallow fried potato), and a mole brownie ice cream sandwich.

Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. dinner are $175 per person (plus tax and tip). An optional beverage pairing is available for $75. You can buy tickets here.

Future dinners will feature chef Christopher Gross of French-inspired Christopher’s at Wrigley Mansion on Aug. 13 and Cat Bunnag of Thai eatery Glai Baan on Sept. 8.
