🍦 We finally have an opening date for Portland-based artisan ice cream shop Salt & Straw, which will make its Arizona debut Friday, July 26, at Epicenter at Agritopia on the northwest corner of Higley and Ray in Gilbert.
Since cousins Kim and Tyler Malek launched Salt & Straw in 2011, it’s become known for innovative flavors like mashed potatoes and gravy, goat cheese marionberry habanero, and huckleberry cornbread pudding.
Celebrity investors include Dwayne ‘‘The Rock” Johnson and Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer.
(Salt & Straw even does a “Dwanta Claus” collection of five ice cream flavors inspired by Johnson’s holiday-time cheat meals.)
Salt & Straw is the final restaurant tenant for Epicenter, making the development 100% leased.
