🍦 Local artisan ice cream shop Sweet Republic is offering a limited-time series of Olympic-themed flavors representing the continents symbolized by the five Olympic rings:
The flavors
- Strawberry French 75 (Europe): Inspired by the iconic French cocktail, this vegan and gluten-free sorbet blends gin-infused strawberries and sparkling wine with a zesty hint of lemon.
- Milk Tart (Africa): South African Melktert is a silky custard delicately spiced with cinnamon and an aromatic dusting of nutmeg.
- Boozy Lamington (Oceania): An Australian-inspired mix of sponge cake, chocolate, coconut, and a generous pour of whiskey.
- Taro Boba (Asia): Taro root’s delicately sweet vanilla-coconut flavor is enhanced by boba pearls steeped in an ube syrup.
- All-American Breakfast (the Americas): A collaboration with The Local Donut featuring maple ice cream, blueberry old-fashioned, and bacon brittles.
For a good cause
From now until the Olympics closing ceremony on Aug. 11, 15% of the gross sales from each pint will go to the Arizona Small Dog Rescue, where Sweet Republic co-founder Helen Yung recently adopted her puppy Bluey.
