🥞 Cafe Hodgepodge, a quaint, family-run cafe, has opened in the Buckhorn Shopping Center on the northeast corner of Main Street and Recker Road in east Mesa.
- It’s taken over the space formerly home to Cap’n Ron’s Fish & Chips.
What’s on the menu? Comfort food such as omelets, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy for breakfast and burgers, sandwiches, and pastas for lunch.
- Breakfast highlights include the Green Chile Bake (green chile poppers layered with cheese and topped with an over-easy egg) and the Egg Sandy (two slices of bread smothered with jalapeno cream cheese, two fried eggs, bacon, ham, and cheese.)
- Lunch highlights include Blue Pasta (penne pasta with blue cheese sauce, sausage, spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms) and posole (the owner’s version of the traditional Mexican soup).
Open: 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.
