Serrano’s shuts down year-old Pronto concept in south Tempe

🌯 Serrano’s Mexican Food Restaurants has closed its new fast-casual concept Pronto in south Tempe after just 12 months.

• Pronto offered build-your-own combos featuring Sonoran-style burritos, tacos, bowls, nachos, and salads.

The history: Pronto had taken over a former Serrano’s sit-down restaurant on the southwest corner of Rural and Guadalupe.

• The Serrano family also closed its 45-year-old flagship location in downtown Chandler on June 1.
• The family still operates two restaurants in Mesa and one in Queen Creek.

Take note: Those with Pronto gift cards may bring them to Serrano’s Mesa or Queen Creek locations for redemption through Aug. 31.
