🥢 Eleven weeks after a despondent man crashed his vehicle into Dragon Wok Fine Chinese Restaurant, the Gilbert eatery reopens at 11 a.m. today on the southeast corner of Ray and Cooper roads.
The background: Around 9:45 a.m. May 14, 64-year-old Dai Alex Chuang drove through the glass front of the family-run restaurant and fatally shot himself. No one was in the restaurant at the time.
- Dragon Wok, now in its 19th year, raised more than $16,000 with a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for repairs.
What’s on the menu? Standard Americanized Chinese dishes like sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, walnut shrimp, and Mongolian beef.
Open: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday, noon-10 p.m. Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.
