🌮 Valle Luna Lunatics, a smaller ”cantina” concept from the owners of Valle Luna Mexican restaurants, has made its debut in west Phoenix.
- It takes over the former Mi Familia Mexican Food space on the northeast corner of Happy Valley Road and 67th Avenue.
What’s on the menu? Highlights of the streamlined menu are fajitas (chicken, steak, pork, or shrimp), fundido burros (meat and jalapeño cream cheese wrapped in a tortilla and deep-fried), and chimichangas.
- Other menu items include salads, dips, bowls, tacos, burros, quesadillas, and Mexican pizza.
- The cantina offers a full bar.
The background: This is the first new location since 1997 for family-run Valle Luna, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. It has larger restaurants in Chandler, Paradise Valley, and northwest Phoenix.
Open: 11 am-10 pm Monday-Friday, 8 am-11 pm Saturday, and 8 am-10 pm Sunday.
