McDonald’s brings back its nostalgic collectors cups today. The new cups – which are plastic, not glass as they were in the ’70s – feature Barbie, Hello Kitty, Beanie Babies, the Coca-Cola polar bear, Shrek, and McDonald’s mascots. You have to order an adult ‘‘collector’s meal’’ to get one.
White Castle is the latest chain to roll out a value meal deal. For a limited time, you can get a bag of 10 cheese sliders for $7.99. The last time White Castle sold sliders for less than 80 cents apiece was 2011.
Culver’s is teaming up with former Arizona Cardinals star (and Culver’s fan) J.J. Watt to offer a ‘‘J.J.’s Way’’ meal through Sept. 29. It includes a Culver’s Deluxe Burger, cheese curds, and a root beer. One dollar from every meal sold goes to the J.J. Watt Foundation.
