🎃 Today marks the unofficial start of fall as the hugely popular Pumpkin Spice Latte, as well as the rest of the fall beverage lineup, returns to Starbucks.
- Pumpkin Spice Latte is made with real pumpkin combined with Starbucks Signature Espresso and steamed milk with cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. It’s topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices.
- The seasonal beverage is available hot, iced, or blended.
Why it matters: Starbucks has suffered a sales slowdown in recent months, but its fall seasonals account for nearly 10% of its annual sales.
- Pumpkin Spice Latte, which debuted in 2003, is credited with ushering in the era of pumpkin spice products.
Also on the fall menu at Starbucks:
- Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
- Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai
- Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato
- Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso
- Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai (new)
- Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte (app only)
- Iced Honey Apple Almondmilk Flat White (app only)
Why so early? Today’s fall menu release is two days earlier than last year’s, part of a trend among retailers to roll out seasonal goods at ever-earlier dates.
