This weekend’s top food & drink events in the Valley

🍕 Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, which has six Valley locations, holds its 13th annual No Kid Hungry campaign this month. For every $5 donated (up to $25 per visit), guests receive bounce-back cards matching the donation to use on their next visit. All donations go to the charity, which fights hunger and poverty.

🌮 The 13th annual Rockin’ Taco Street Fest takes place noon-9 p.m. Saturday at A.J. Chandler Park in downtown Chandler. Besides tacos, there will be live music, luche libre wrestling, eating contests, and a mechanical taco. Tickets are $18.

🇲🇽 The Sugar Bar in Chandler celebrates Mexican Independence Day (which actually is Monday) from noon-11 p.m. Saturday with Mexican beers, Mexican candy jello shots, Mexican food trucks, and more. Admission is free.

🍾 Scottsdale restaurant and marketplace Amelia’s by Eat marks its one-year anniversary today. Guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly and participate in special giveaways throughout the day.

🌮 The Taco Spot, which opened last month on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Warner roads in Gilbert, will be giving away free birria tacos with any purchase Sunday. There also will be live music and prizes from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
