👨🍳 Chicken Veneto and Romanian Mititei will be the co-entrees when Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert holds its weekly ‘‘Taste of Romeo’s’’ dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The dinners, held in a private dining room, feature five courses selected from the restaurant’s regular menu.
This week’s courses
- Greek Skins: Fried and baked potato skins stuffed with gyro meat, artichokes, feta, and kasseri cheese. Served with homemade yogurt sauce.
- Kale Salad: Chopped kale with red peppers, peas, mushroom, asparagus, green onion, dried cranberries, and almonds tossed in honey Dijon dressing. Fried goat cheese ball garnish.
- Chicken Veneto (pictured): Chicken breast, whole black peppercorns, capers, spring onion, mushrooms, and garlic in a Marsala cream sauce.
- Romanian Mititei: Romanian beef sausage with garlic, herbs, and spices. Served with smashed potatoes and vegetable side.
- Pistachio Tease: Ricotta and pistachio fluffy cake.
