🌮 National Taco Day, which has been celebrated Oct. 4 since it started 15 years ago, moves to Oct. 1 – today! – this year.
Why the change?
Earlier this year the National Food Calendar agreed to switch the made-up foodie holiday to the first Tuesday of October, regardless of the date, so it always will fall on a ‘‘Taco Tuesday.’’
Not all taco shops got the memo, so many are running specials (far too many to list) today, some are running specials Friday, and some are running specials both days.
Check the social media of your favorite taco shop to see what deals they’re offering and when.
