Thursday: Proof to host dinner with Michter’s master distiller

🥃 Here’s an event that whiskey fans won’t want to miss:

Dan McKee, master distiller for Michter’s, will be the featured guest for a four-course pairings dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Proof at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North.

The Louisville distillery produces what are considered some of the finest American whiskeys.

The menu and pairings:

  • Amuse: Heritage Pork Terrine (whiskey aspic, applewood brioche, micro pickled vegetables) with Michter’s 10 Year Rye.
  • Starter: Charred Pumpkin Cappuccino (oat milk froth, porcini, truffle) with Michter’s US*1 Bourbon.
  • Intermezzo: Whiskey Sour Sorbetto (gold leaf) with Michter’s US*1 Toasted Bourbon
  • Entrée: Smoked Veal Osso Bucco (saffron, acquerello rice, picked herb gremolata) with Michter’s 10 Year Bourbon (pescatarian and vegan options available).
  • Dessert: Smoked Citrus Cigar (chocolate mousse, roasted cocoa nibs, marshmallow fluff,  chocolate sponge cake) with Bomberger’s Deceleration Bourbon.
