🍕 Giovanna’s Pizza, a family-run Italian restaurant specializing in New York-style pizzas, has opened on the southeast corner of Mountain View and Via Linda in central Scottsdale.
It takes over the Mercado at Scottsdale Ranch strip-mall space formerly home to short-lived Greek eatery Kuko’s Nest.
The 17 speciality pizzas include some unusual ones, such as:
- Balkan Beauty: Garlic olive oil-based pizza with spinach, artichoke, black olives, red onion, sun-dried tomato, and feta topped with oregeno.
- Chicken Kebob: Garlic olive oil-based pizza with chicken, tomato, red onion, banana peppers, and feta topped with house dressing.
- Roadrunner: Chipotle cream sauce-based pizza with chicken, bacon, mushroom, and sun-dried tomato.
- Chicken Parm: Red sauce, fried chicken cutlet, and dollops of ricotta topped with parmesan.
Prices range from $12.99 for a 10-inch cheese pizza to $24.99 for a 16-inch supreme. There’s also $6 slices from a 24-inch pizza.
