Kungfu Ramen reopens as Kungfu Noodles in Tempe

🍜 Kungfu Noodles, a well-regarded Chinese restaurant formerly known as Kungfu Ramen before closing for several months of upgrades, has reopened on the southeast corner of Broadway and McClintock in Tempe.

The restaurant originally debuted in 2020, specializing in Chinese noodle soups but not Japanese-style ramen, which left many customers confused by the name.

(To oversimplify: Noodles were invented in China nearly two millenia ago, while ramen was a Japanese adaption of Chinese wheat noodle soups in the early 20th century.)

Kungfu Noodles’ menu features hand-pulled noodle soups, stir-fried and wok dishes, and dumplings.

Open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.

Another smaller Kungfu Noodles (different website) opened in June on the southwest corner of Alma School and Elliot in Chandler. It serves mostly to-go diners with an ordering kiosk and very limited seating.
