Mexican cantina Hugo’s closes after 11 months in downtown Phoenix

🌮 Hugo’s, a casual Mexican cantina from the founders of local chain Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup, has closed after 11 months on Roosevelt Row in downtown Phoenix.

No reason was given for the closure.

Hugo’s had taken over the 1930s building – at one time a funeral home – formerly home to acclaimed Sin Muerte, which lasted just seven months.
