🥃 Valley nightlife guru Jason Asher has left Barter & Shake, the hospitality group behind the award-winning Century Grand in Phoenix.
“After an incredible decade dedicated to the passionate creation and meticulous refinement of world-class bar concepts under the Barter & Shake umbrella, I have made the important decision to pursue new opportunities and face fresh challenges,” he says in a statement sent to the media.
Asher is launching a hospitality consultancy company, Juniper & Jigger.
His Barter & Shaker co-founder Rich Furnari will remain with B&S.
Century Grand, located on the northeast corner of Indian School and 36th Street, was named Best U.S. Cocktail Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Spirited Awards – the Oscars of the bar industry – last year.
It features three bars under one roof – Pullman train car-themed Platform 18, New Orleans apothecary-inspired Grey Hen Rx, and Old World ship-like UnderTow.
