Ruggiero’s Bar Cena in Scottsdale to close Dec. 31 after 14 months

🚫 Bar Cena, chef Dom Ruggiero’s newest restaurant and cocktail lounge in north Scottsdale, is closing Dec. 31.

The announcement on social media blamed ‘‘this economic climate’’ for the closure.

Bar Cena opened in October 2023 next to Ruggiero’s fiagship Hush Public House near the northwest corner of Scottsdale and Thunderbird.

It replaced another Ruggiero concept, Vanilla Gorilla Tap Room & Bottle Shop, when Hush Public House expanded.

Ruggiero’s Cast Iron Concepts also operates Fire at Will in central Scottsdale.
