🐐 Flavor Eatery & Lounge, an American-Caribbean fusion restaurant, has opened in downtown Tempe.
It takes over the space formerly home to short-lived Ted’s Refreshments at Hayden Square near the northwest corner of Mill and Fourth Street.
Before Ted’s, it was Blasted Barley. But longtime Valley residents probably remember the many years it was Balboa Cafe.
The American side of Flavor’s menu offers burgers and sandwiches ($11-$18 with side). Highlights of the Caribbean portion include curry goat ($24), oxtail ($28, pictured), and jerk chicken ($18).
Open 6 a.m.-midnight Monday and 6 a.m.-3:30 a.m. Tuesday-Sunday.
