🍷 Postino WineCafé, the Valley’s pioneering wine bar concept, has opened its first West Valley location adjacent to the Peoria Sports Complex on the southeast corner of Bell and the Loop 101.
A dozen kinds of bruschetta are the centerpiece of the menu, which also offers panini sandwiches, salads, and snacks. Thirty varietals of wine are available by the glass, along with craft beers on tap.
Happy hour, which runs until 5 p.m. daily, includes $6 glasses of wine and small pitchers of beer.
In recognition of the sports complex, spring training home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners, the walls display 5,500 baseball cards from the 1970s and ’80s and music festival photos.
Founded in a 1940s-era Arcadia post office in 2001, Postino has grown to 34 locations in seven states, including eight in the Valley.
Hours are 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday, and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
