🍹 Industry Standard, a neighborhood small-plates restaurant and upscale craft cocktail lounge, officially opens today on the northwest corner of Second and Roosevelt streets in downtown Phoenix.
The new concept from Scapegoat Beer & Wine owner Mike Cheathem, along with DashTrack founder Jordan Hudgens and hospitality veteran Mike Bodow, takes over the space that was home to Carly’s Bistro for 19 years until last May.
Highlights of chef Edward Mclachlan’s 12-item menu include crispy pork belly with potlikker greens ($18), pappardelle pasta with lamb shoulder ($21), and chilled street corn with Peruvian aji amarillo butter ($10).
The bar program offers 11 signature cocktails, wine by the glass or bottle, and local craft beers.
Industry Standard will have a ‘‘family meal’’ special ($10-$15), similar to the pre-service meals that restaurants prepare for their staff, on Mondays.
Hours are 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday, 4 p.m.-midnight Tuesday-Wednesday, and 4 p.m.-2 a.m. Thursday-Sunday.
