Blue Sushi Sake Grill makes AZ debut at Novus Place in Tempe

🍣 Blue Sushi Sake Grill, an Omaha, Neb.-based chain of polished Japanese restaurants, has opened its first Arizona location at Novus Place next to the ASU campus near the northwest corner of Rural and University in Tempe.

Dinner prices range from $10-$12.50 for nigiri, $15-$18 for sashimi, and $8-$18.50 for maki rolls. Lunch specials (11 a.m.-2 p.m. weekdays) include two maki rolls with sunomono salad, house salad, or miso soup for $21.

Hours are 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday, noon-11 p.m. Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.

Blue, part of the Flagship Restaurant Group, is the country’s largest sushi chain running a sustainably sourced seafood program in partnership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch.

Other locations are planned for Surprise and downtown Gilbert.

Flagship made its Arizona debut in 2022 with Cham Pang Lane, Ghost Donkeyand Palma in downtown Phoenix. It opened Pyro in Arcadia last year.
