🍔 Main Burger, a new eatery from the team behind highly regarded Espiritu in downtown Mesa, has opened a few doors down in the former Subway building on the southeast corner of Main and Robson.
The concept is another joint venture between Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin (Taco Chiwas, Cocina Chiwas, Aruma) and chef Roberto Centeno. The trio previously teamed up on Espiritu, sister bar Pecado, and Santo in Arcadia.
All three principals were 2024 James Beard Award semifinalists – Hernandez and Holguin for Outstanding Restaurateurs and Centeno for Emerging Chef.
Main Burger’s menu offers three burgers: Classic (with American cheese, caramelized onions, and house sauce), Sonora (with chiltepin and cheese costra and bacon), and Chiwas (with queso asadero and roasted green chiles).
Burgers are available with a single patty ($9 just for the burger or $13 with fries and fountain drink) or two patties ($15 or $19 for combo).
There’s also a Sonoran-style hot dog ($10 or $14 for combo) and a salad ($10).
Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday-Saturday.
