Mimi Forno sibling A Modo Mio makes debut in northeast Mesa

🇮🇹 A Modo Mio Cucina Italiano, a family-run Italian restaurant, deli, bakery, and coffee shop, has opened on the southwest corner of Higley and Brown in northeast Mesa.

It’s a sister concept to owner Domenico Cavallo’s celebrated Mimi Forno Italiano in Laveen.

The menu features Neopolitan pizzas ($14-$18), house-made pastas ($17-$29), house-made focaccia and ciabatta ($5-$9), and classic Italian dishes like meatballs ($13), arancini ($11), and house-made sausage ($39).

One of the chef’s specials is The Italian Grill – a 12-ounce ribeye, sausage, rosemary chicken, and roasted potatoes ($45).

The deli offers toasts ($8), panini ($8), and focaccia Romana ($8), while the cafe serves pastries and hot and cold coffee drinks.

Restaurant hours are 3-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 3-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 1-8 p.m. Sunday.

Cafe hours are 6:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday and 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

Bakery hours are 6:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.
